How it works
- 1
Open a shape
The studio opens with the pumpkin loaded. The bat, ghost, cat and witch hat are in the icon gallery under Halloween Cookie Cutters, one click each.
- 2
Set the size
Type the size in millimetres. Around 70–80 mm suits a standard cookie; go smaller for a batch of bite-sized bats.
- 3
Or upload your own
A drawing, a child's monster or a logo as SVG, PNG or JPG is traced into an outline the same way.
- 4
Download and print
The print check runs first, then the STL downloads. Three STL downloads a month are free; the whole Halloween set fits in one month if you are choosy.
The shapes
Each shape is our own silhouette, drawn to cut cleanly: bold outlines, no thin spikes that tear dough, and no narrow gaps that trap it.
- Pumpkin
- Round, ribbed and with a short stem — the one everyone ices orange.
- Bat
- Wide wings with a scalloped edge and little ears.
- Ghost
- A friendly dome with a wavy hem.
- Cat
- A sitting black cat with its tail curled at its feet.
- Witch hat
- A tall bent point on a wide brim.
Cutters that emboss as well
Any part of a drawing can be given its own height, so the cutter presses a face into the pumpkin or eyes into the ghost in the same stroke as it cuts. Upload a drawing with the details you want pressed in, and raise those areas in the Polygons tab.
For fondant and clay the same cutters work well; for soft dough, chill it before cutting and keep the shapes above about 50 mm so the details stay sharp.
Printing food-contact cutters
Print in PLA or PETG, cutting edge up. A 0.2 mm layer height, three or four perimeters and 15–20% infill suits almost everything here, and none of it needs supports when printed flat on the bed.
Wash cutters by hand in warm water — a hot dishwasher warps PLA — and dry them straight away. Layer lines can hold dough, so dust the cutter with flour before each cut.
Questions
Are the Halloween cutters free?
Yes. The cookie-cutter studio is on the free plan with three STL downloads a month, and no account is needed to design.
Can I make a cutter from my child's drawing?
Yes. Photograph a bold drawing on white paper and upload it; the outline is traced for you. Thick marker lines work better than pencil.
Can I print the shapes as clay cutters?
Yes. Set a smaller size — 25 to 40 mm for earrings — and the same outlines make polymer clay cutters.
Can I sell cookies made with them?
The cookies are yours to sell. The shapes may be used for your own cutters; selling the printed cutters themselves is covered from the Pro plan upward.
