How it works

  1. 1

    Choose what to stamp

Text in any font from the catalogue, on up to several lines; an icon from the built-in library; or your own design as SVG, PNG or JPG.

  2. 2

    Size the stamp

Set the design size in millimetres and the margin around it. The block and handle grow to fit, with rounded edges that release cleanly from dough.

  3. 3

    Set the depth

The raised design is 4 mm by default — deep enough for a clear imprint in shortbread or fondant, shallow enough not to tear it. Make it deeper for soft dough.

  4. 4

    Download and print

Text is mirrored for you so the cookie reads correctly. The STL is checked before download and prints flat, design up, without supports.

Three kinds of stamp

Different jobs need different stamps, and all three are in the Stamps tab.

Message stamp
A word, a name or a short message on one block — wedding favours, "thank you" cookies, a bakery's name.
Logo stamp
Your own artwork on a block with a handle: a brand mark on every biscuit, a monogram, a club crest.
Letter set
One stamp per character — A–Z, a–z, 0–9 and symbols — on feet that slide into a rail, so you can spell a new word every batch. A storage box can be generated to match.

Getting a crisp imprint

Chill the dough and dust the stamp with flour or icing sugar before each press. Press straight down and lift straight up; a rocking press blurs the edges.

Bold fonts and simple shapes transfer best. Hairline strokes and small counters — the holes in e, a and o — fill with dough at small sizes, so choose a heavier font or a larger size for text under 10 mm tall.

For designs pressed in the same stroke as the cut, the free cookie cutter generator can also emboss: give an area of the picture its own height and the cutter prints the pattern as it cuts the shape.

Food safety and printing

Print in PLA or PETG with a clean nozzle, and wash stamps by hand in warm soapy water — hot dishwashers warp PLA. Layer lines can hold dough, so a stamp used often is worth replacing each season or coating with a food-safe resin.

Print the stamp flat, handle down, with the design facing up. A 0.2 mm layer height, three or four perimeters and 15–20% infill suits almost everything here, and none of it needs supports when printed flat on the bed.

Questions

Is the text mirrored automatically?

Yes. Letters and text are mirrored on the stamp so the imprint reads the right way round. For an uploaded picture with lettering in it, flip the picture horizontally before uploading.

What size should a cookie stamp be?

A few millimetres smaller than the cookie on every side. For a 60 mm round cutter, a 50 mm design leaves a clean edge. Letters under about 8 mm tall start to lose detail.

Does it work for fondant and clay?

Yes. Fondant takes fine detail better than dough; polymer and air-dry clay take a stamp very well. Soft cookie dough needs a deeper design and a well-chilled dough.

Which plan do stamps need?

The Maker plan, which also includes texture rollers and the SVG editor. Cookie cutters, including ones that emboss while they cut, stay on the free plan.

Can I sell cookies made with my stamp?

Yes — the cookies are yours. Selling the printed stamps themselves is covered from the Pro plan upward.
