Fantasy miniature generator

Knights, wizards, goblins, skeletons and a dragon whelp for your games table, in a chunky heroic style made to survive a 0.4 mm nozzle. Pick the scale and the base, print in 1 colour or open the 3MF already painted.

Printed fantasy miniatures on a light background: an adventuring party of 4 single-colour minis, a multi-colour knight with a blue shield, a multi-colour wizard in a purple robe and a 54 mm dragon whelp

How it works

  1. 1

Pick a figure or a set

14 characters and 5 sets of 4, with 20 ready-made starting points in the library — from a single knight to a whole undead patrol on 1 plate.

  2. 2

    Choose scale and base

28 mm or 32 mm heroic, or 54 mm for display. The base picks itself by figure size, or choose 25, 32, 40, 50 or 60 mm, with an optional magnet pocket underneath.

  3. 3

    One colour or painted

1 colour gives you a figure to paint by hand. Painted splits it into a part per filament colour — skin, cloth, armour, metal and base.

  4. 4

    Download and print

STL for 1 colour. For painted figures, the 3MF opens in Bambu Studio or OrcaSlicer with every colour assigned, ready for your AMS slots.

Scales, bases and sets

Scale is the eye height of a human-sized figure: 28 mm, 32 mm or 54 mm. Dwarves, goblins and ogres keep their size relative to it, so the goblin and the ogre stay in proportion with the heroes at every scale.

On Auto the base follows the figure: 25 mm for most 28 mm heroes, 32 mm for the whelp, 40 mm for the ogre, and larger at 32 mm and 54 mm. Sets lay 4 figures out on 1 plate, 4 mm apart.

Bases
Auto, or 25, 32, 40, 50 or 60 mm round bases with a bevelled edge.
Magnet pocket
A 5 × 2 mm pocket under the base, or 8 × 2 mm on bases of 40 mm and over.
Sets
4 of 1 figure; the party; heroes (archer, dwarf, knight, wizard); the goblin band; undead; or monsters (goblin, orc, slime, zombie).

Print settings for a 0.4 mm nozzle

The figures are sculpted for a 0.4 mm nozzle and PLA: at 28 mm, limbs are at least 1.5 mm thick and weapons at least 1.2 mm, and every weapon is fused to a hand, the body or the base. Sword tips, staff and spear butts, the bow's lower limb and the ogre's club rest on the base instead of ending in the air.

Print each figure upright on its base with no supports. Any surface that faces the bed at more than 36° from vertical grows a tapering tail that fuses with what lies below — a chin into the chest, a hand into the hip — and hems, belts and hairlines are chamfered rather than stepped, so nothing starts in mid-air.

Questions

Will they fit with my other 28 mm miniatures?

Yes. Choose 28 mm or 32 mm heroic scale to match the rest of your collection; most figures stand on a 25 mm base, which fits a standard 1-inch battle-map square.

Do the miniatures need supports?

No. Weapons rest on the base or are fused to the body, and every downward-facing surface is shaped to build on what is below it, so each figure prints upright on its base.

How does the multi-colour version work?

Set Colours to Painted and download the 3MF. Each colour region is its own part, so Bambu Studio or OrcaSlicer opens it with every colour assigned; you only map the filaments to your AMS slots. The painted knight and wizard use 4 filaments.

Which filament should I use?

PLA is what the detail is sized for. For a figure you will paint by hand, print in 1 colour; for a ready-coloured figure, choose Painted and load 1 filament per colour.

Can I sell the miniatures I print?

Printed items are covered by the commercial licence from the Pro plan upward, and the library is in the Ultra plan. The digital files themselves may not be redistributed.

Which plan includes the miniatures?

They are part of the parametric object library in the Ultra plan, which also includes everything in Pro.
